Hotel “4 Jahreszeiten am Schluchsee”

The ASOMEA-IX takes place at the “Hotel 4 Jahreszeiten” (four seasons) which is located in the beautiful countryside of lake “Schluchsee” in the Black Forest, Germany.

Travel

Arrival by Air

The nearest/best-connected airports are Zürich and Frankfurt am Main.

If you arrive via Zürich, please note that we will arrange for a shuttle-service (details will follow).

If you arrive via Frankfurt, ICE-trains for Freiburg im Breisgau depart every hour, alternating with a change in Mannheim or without. The travel time will be approximately 2 hours. Please check the DB travel service page.

In Freiburg there will be a shuttle to the meeting location (details to follow).

Arrival by Train

We will provide a shuttle bus departing on October 23 at 16:50 from Konzerthaus Freiburg (Freiburg Concert Hall), Konrad-Adenauer-Platz 1, 79098 Freiburg. The Concert Hall is located next to the Freiburg Breisgau Central Station. The bus ride to the Hotel will take about one hour (ETA: 18:00).

After the workshop, we will provide a shuttle bus departing on October 26 at 14:20 from the Hotel back to the Konzerthaus Freiburg (Freiburg Concert Hall), Konrad-Adenauer-Platz 1, 79098 Freiburg. Again, the bus ride to the Concert Hall will take about one hour (ETA: 15:30).

However, for full disclosure and your orientation, please note that orderly train-service to Schluchsee from Freiburg or Zürich will be down due to construction. A replacement-bus-service is provided for. Details can be found here.

Arrival by Car

If you plan to arrive directly by car, the hotel kindly requests you prebook. There is a daily charge of 5 Euros for outside parking and 8 Euros for underground garage-parking.
